London is the capital of the Great Britain – this phrase is familiar to everyone who has studied English. It is not entirely correct, since Great Britain is the name of the islands on which the United Kingdom is located. It consists of four parts-countries, and each has its own capital: Scotland has Edinburgh, Wales has Cardiff, Northern Ireland has Belfast and, finally, England has London.
